Slider Gift Card Holder

I have been sick this past week so I haven't done much stamping but last night I had to prepare everything for class this week. This week the cards we made were made following the tutorial posted on Cambria Turnbow's blog... http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/ambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/ I just love her blog! It was a little difficult for me to follow directions as I'm very much a visual person, but, after the first card
(and the mistakes), they got better.

Tournament Time

Yesterday was Melissa's first tournament for her club team this season. We played at the American Sport Center in Anaheim. No time for stamping this day as we were there most of the day. Melissa plays libero for her team. They won two out of three matches. Today is resting day since it can be a pretty long day watching and waiting. Here are some pictures of my volleyball princess!

Top Note Treat Holder

This is a treat holder I made for a friend at
work. She's been ill and I wanted to give her
something to cheer her up.
This is made with the SU Top Note Sizzix die cut and the Bella Blossoms stamp set.

Backgrounds

These are the cards we made in my Wednesday night stamp class.

This is a great group of ladies, most of them have been coming to the classes for a couple of years. We have a great time, lots of laughs, great conversation and of course STAMPING!

I'm blogging daily so I don't remember exactly where I saw this technique, but, I know that it was a SU demo blog. If you know which website this idea comes from, please let me know! I 'd like to go back there! These backgrounds are made using aluminum foil and Cuttlebug embossing folders. I also used the Sizzix Top Note die cut and the Scallop Circle #2 die cut from SU.

Viewmaster Cards

These Viewmaster Cards were done a little different... I saw the tutorial on Splitcoast and a couple of other blogs and I did something a little different. For the wheel, I used the large SU Sizzix Scalloped Circle. For the edge to turn the wheel, I used the SU wide oval punch. The green "hello" card was made using the SU Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. The blue card was made with the mini sets by G Studios that are found in the dollar bin at Michaels. The red heart card uses the same stamps and also the SizzixTipsy Hearts die cut along with some pre-cut fun foam hearts and words.

Valentine Treat Holders

I have been working on treat holders for Valentine's Day. All patterns were received from a demonstrator in a trade when I first started. The french fry box is a modified version so that it stands by itself. The heart punches are made from Sizzix die cuts and fun foam punch outs. The hanging heart pouch is made from a Stamp Your Art Out! heart explosion card pattern. The cookie holder is similar to the pattern on the SU demo website except that there is no heart on the back side. Flower stamps are from the new hostess set 'Dream a Little".
